So anyway, I did this YouTube video because I wanted to add something to my book proposal for Hay House Publishing. I sat cross legged on a table while my friend Emma sat cross legged on another one across from me and I just started talking. I wanted to tell a story, my story, about where I have come from fitness-wise and what I wanted to write in my book. I didn't make too many mistakes so I decided to stay with that one take. Now I am not so sure, as I watch it, but then I think just about everybody hates the way they sound or look. I hope that I at least sound authentic, in a warts-and-all kind of way.
I really enjoyed the uploading process. I thought it was going to be really difficult and complicated, but it was quite straight forward. It took longer than I thought, but it was all done in about 45 minutes. Isn't it odd, we live in a world where we expect almost everything to be instantaneous, even uploading a video from my computer to wherever it is that YouTube stores all the millions of videos that they receive.
I had a fascinating experience yesterday. I was waiting at Sydney airport and decided to buy a new magazine. I flipped through it, making notes in margins (I can't read without holding a pen, the result of many years of study) and then put the magazine aside. The man sitting next to me asked me what I thought of the magazine and I told him. He then told me that he happened to be the originator of the magazine and was amazingly understanding and tolerant of my scathing criticism. Of all the seats in all the airports in all the world, the creator of the magazine I happened to buy that morning, sat in the very seat in the very airport gate, next to me. Maybe it wasn't. Maybe he saw me buy it and decided to sit next to me to see what I did with the magazine. Maybe it wasn't the 'universe' or 'serendipity' at all. But I like to think it was, so there!
